From Brazil to Figueira da Foz, a lifetime devoted to sushi
Sushi do Edu was born in 2005 in Brusque, Santa Catarina, with a simple purpose: to bring friends and family together and turn everyday moments into true, one-of-a-kind dining experiences.
After nearly two decades of success in Brazil, Edu and Juliana now bring that story to Portugal — from the Buarcos neighbourhood, steps from the Atlantic, between the sea that gives the fish, the waves that give the surf and the sky that gives free flight.
Here, every piece is assembled the moment you order it, right in front of you. Every visit starts with a conversation. And every guest leaves with their name remembered.

Nothing is pre-made. Fresh fish prepared daily, rice at its point, every piece assembled when your order arrives — as the Japanese craft demands.
Guided service
First time trying sushi? Allergies? Preferences? Edu and Juliana guide your choices piece by piece. Nobody orders blindly in this house.
A spirit of freedom
Surf, free flight, nature and an unhurried table. The founders' philosophy lives in every detail — from the terrace to the last sip of wine.
We serve only a few tables a night. On purpose.
Every piece is assembled to order by Edu's own hands — and there's a limit to what two hands can do perfectly in one night. We'd rather turn down bookings than rush the counter. Friday to Sunday nights tend to sell out in advance.
